Musical Director - Tracey Cam
Musical director Tracey Cam has been with the Bathurst Panorama Chorus since 1992.
Tracey grew up in a musical family where she was encouraged to develop her natural skills. She learnt the piano, flute and guitar and when she finished school went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Diploma of Education. Tracey became a music teacher and has taught in a number of schools around NSW.
Tracey has studied many styles of music throughout her life but says, "There is nothing quite like hearing the lock and ring of a well executed barbershop chord! A cappella singing is both challenging and rewarding, and the addition of movement to enhance a performance makes our group fun to be in and fun to watch."
Tracey is a Certified Musical Director in the Sweet Adelines International Organisation and a skilled vocal coach. Tracey generously shares her knowledge of barbershop and her enthusiasm for the art form by coaching other choruses and quartets in the region.
Tracey is a keen quartet singer and has competed in six National Quartet Competitions with 'Backbeat'. They achieved three 5th place medals together. Tracey is currently the lead quartet member of ‘Andiamo’. In just two regional competitions, ‘Andiamo’ have earned a 3rd (2009) and 4th (2010) place medal.
