Bathurst Panorama Chorus is a wonderful group of women who share a love of singing and a commitment to strive together in the pursuit of musical excellence. We sing 4- part a cappella harmony and sing without sheet music and sometimes with choreographed movement.
Previous singing training or the ability to read music, whilst beneficial, is not essential. Our rehearsals are educational and focus on providing vocal, musical and performance training. The essential requirements are that you can sing in tune and hold your part.
The four parts of a cappella harmony are:
Tenor – sings the high harmony part.
Lead – sings the mid-range melody part
Baritone- sings the harmony part above and below the leads
Bass- sings the low harmony part below the baritones.
Membership is open to women of any age. Each prospective member is auditioned by the Musical Director after they have attended four to six rehearsals. This is done in private and ensures our chorus maintains its high standard of harmony singing. Members are expected to attend Chorus rehearsals and activities, to participate in performances and to pay membership fees and abide by the rules of Sweet Adelines International
Bathurst Panorama Chorus rehearsals are held every Monday night 7.15pm to 10.00pm.
Visitors and prospective members are very welcome to come along and experience the fun and dedication that we experience singing barbershop together.
